Privacy policy
The SEARCH association protects your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to exercise your rights.
Data controller
The SEARCH association — the Amiens network of early-career researchers, SIREN 941 559 171, Centre universitaire de recherche en santé, 30 avenue de la Croix Jourdain, 80000 Amiens, France. Contact: contact@asso-search.fr.
Data collected and purposes
Account: last name, first name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in clear text) and, if you provide them, laboratory, doctoral school, institution, field, thesis year, phone number and bio. Purpose: to identify you and give you access to your space.
Sign-in with Google or Microsoft: if you choose this option, we receive from that provider your email address, your name and an identifier specific to your account with them. We do not receive your password and cannot access your contacts or other data.
Membership: chosen season, request date, validation and payment. Purpose: running the association and its accounts.
Events and conference: answers to registration forms, student number (to check membership of the A2U alliance), meal choices, abstract submissions and posters. Purpose: organising the events.
Contact: the details entered in the form are used to handle your request and reply to you.
Security: IP address and browser when signing in and submitting forms, to limit abuse and spam. A log of the emails sent by the site is kept temporarily to diagnose failures.
Trusted address: if you link an institutional address, we keep it with its confirmation date to display the “trusted email” badge. You can unlink it at any time from your profile.
Legal bases
Performance of your request or of the service you ask for (account, membership, registration), the association’s legitimate interest (site security, member management) and, for third-party sign-in, your choice to use it.
Recipients
Your data is accessible to board members, according to their roles, and to our technical host. It is never sold or passed on. Membership of the A2U alliance may be checked with the institutions concerned when you register for the conference.
Retention
Your account data is kept as long as the account exists, then deleted on request. Event registration data is kept as long as needed to organise and review the event. Technical logs are deleted automatically after a few days.
Cookies
The site only uses cookies strictly necessary for it to work: the session cookie that keeps you signed in and, for the board, a preview-mode marker. There is no advertising, audience measurement or tracker, so no consent is required.
Third-party services
Venue maps are displayed by OpenStreetMap, whose server receives your IP address when the map loads. Venue addresses are converted into coordinates by OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service, with no visitor data. Sign-in with Google or Microsoft is subject to their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You may at any time access, correct or erase your data, object to its processing, and request restriction or portability. Write to contact@asso-search.fr; we reply within one month. You can also edit your details from your account.
If you disagree with our answer, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France.
