SEARCH is the Amiens Network of Early-Career Researchers. The association brings together PhD students, early-career researchers and PhD graduates from the Amiens area, across all disciplines. Its aim is to create connections between early-career researchers, foster interdisciplinary exchanges, and support them in promoting their research and skills.
The next SEARCH event will take place on 3 November in Amiens, at the Logis du Roi.
The morning will be dedicated to presenting and showcasing research projects and results. Participants will have the opportunity to present their work in two formats: oral presentation or poster. This session will allow early-career researchers to share their work with an audience from different academic backgrounds and to develop their ability to communicate their research beyond their specific field of expertise.
The afternoon will focus on life after the PhD and career development. A conference will bring together former PhD students, who will share their experiences, career paths and the different opportunities available after completing a PhD.
A practical workshop will also be offered during the afternoon, focusing on career development and how to showcase and leverage researchers’ skills.
Overall, the day will provide an opportunity for discussion, experience-sharing and skills development, while encouraging connections and exchanges between PhD students and early-career researchers from different disciplines in Amiens.

The Logis du Roi is located in the city centre of Amiens, Passage du Logis du Roi, near the cathedral.
Faculty of Science → 🚶 Approximately 10–15 min walk
Citadel → 🚶 Approximately 20–25 min walk
Cathedral Campus → 🚶 Approximately 5 min walk
Faculty of Medicine → 🚌 Approximately 20–30 min by public transport / 🚶 Approximately 35–40 min walk

🎤 Presentations
Oral presentations can be delivered in French or English.
Presentation slides and posters must be entirely in English.
Presentations should be accessible to a broad, interdisciplinary audience.
They should be understandable to both PhD students in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) and PhD students in Science, Technology and Health (STH).
Participants are therefore encouraged to avoid discipline-specific jargon and to favour a clear, accessible and engaging presentation style.

Lunch will be provided and covered by the SEARCH association.
